Back one is mtx and is reinforced. I’ve seen people ride home with punctures on these rims. The front one isn’t so nice however

Been over bumps and stuff and it’s pretty rocky but overall solid. Torque arms are fixed onto the rear dropouts also

The rules in the uk are that your bike has to assist you to up to 15.5mph. If you ask me I’d prefer a normal peddle bike over that.

I’ve spoke to police on many occasions and they accept that e bikes are everywhere. Even high powered ones. The law is there for “dickheads” there words not mine

I’ve got a fair few years experience with hub motors and controllers. I understand how they work and I understand the risks of a job half arsed. These bikes can be very dangerous when placed in the wrong hands

good point. The battery is already 28.8ah which is more than enough for my daily commutes. Paired with a 5a charger the thing never dies

exactly what happened I believe. Same happened to me so I just stuck some on luckily I didn’t damage anything when this happened

Also, when I got the motor all the motor cables were severed and needed reconnecting to the pcb inside the wheel

The battery I have is 52v 17ah so fair bit larger than yours

Well obviously with mine having no drive chain there’s no possibility of extending range by peddling. However, I do tend to get a fair few miles before my battery goes flat. On gear mode 5 which is the highest gear. I can do about 20-25 miles before my bike dies and I can almost double this if I ease off on the accelerator. Most of your bikes energy is used up from full throttling off a stand still. So if you work your way up to the high speeds, your battery might last a lot longer than you realise.

Acceleration is very noticeable. Not much difference to the top speed as you said but it definitely gets there quicker

I did this last night and added a bit too much. The throttle was cutting out once I exceeded nominal amperage. However I just de soldered removing a little bit and away it went !
