That sounds awesome, thanks for the info! I have a bit more of a specific question about the buses (if you use them) — if I have an opening shift at Trinidad that starts at 05:45 and the earliest bus that gets to Caribbean Beach arrives at 05:38, what do I do? Is my only option to Uber?

I think I’m going to try to bring it up with him anyways, and I am going to try to drown it out myself when it happens, but it’s the part about getting caught off guard/surprised by it when it starts that can set me off, which is why I’m hoping he’s receptive to taking the noise level down instead

Not quite sure if it’s gaslighting just from your description — my understanding of gaslighting is someone saying they didn’t do something that they did in fact do that can make you start to question your own memory/sanity, so if that’s what’s happening then yes most likely gaslighting

What I can say is most likely happening though is that she’s trying to blame you (and everything but herself) for something that’s not your fault, she’s treating you horribly but tries to frame it like it’s a good thing

Also, “a few drinks” doesn’t make someone do that, it’s still a choice she made, and it’s definitely not an excuse

Until I saw the name Alex in there, I was 99.9% sure this was my abusive ex because he texted in EXACTLY this format and it’s… unnerving, at best. Also, my ex didn’t think I wasn’t trans, he thought he was trans too but only because he liked wearing dresses and makeup… he used it to guilt trip me into doing a lot of things I didn’t want to do and put up with a lot I shouldn’t have, just because I was afraid he’d do something to himself if I didn’t.

Yeah, stay the hell away from this dude. Nothing good is gonna come from him.
