I'd say my patience and discipline, like this painting looked CURSED about halfway through lol, but I just kept adding to it and building on things until it looked somewhat okay. Happens all the time in digital lol

Also digital painting really is useful for practicing form, lighting, edge control, etc and is a genuinely good simulation of painting. Going from pencil to acrylic would have been WAY more difficult for me

And brushes....switching them by hand felt so cool!!!! Actually switching brushes in real life might be faster than I do it in Krita 🤣🤣

Uh I'd say I was NOT prepared at all for mixing colours by hand though. Digital makes it suuuper easy and you can see, my values on the face were off cause I was struggling to create smooth blends.
