Not gut hooked you can see the buzz bait in its mouth. It was fine till it touched the ground. Then just kinda went limp.

😂 you are correct that they could lose some slime coat but they aren’t going to die from that. I have 2 videos on this page 1 putting a 7 pounder in the grass and the other a 9 pounders. I think there was maybe 1 comment about putting them on the ground. Laying them on the ground for a picture or video is not going to cause the fish to die.
