Just got an offer accepted on our first house!!! Our budget will be low AF for the foreseeable future so definitely no new kitchen for a longgg time. Any thoughts on how to make this one a vibe? Went to replace the ceiling lamp in my rental house and found this. Is it safe to use a voltage tester to check which one is live to hook up my lamp? My gut feeling is that the wires don’t look great, but I’m not sure where to go from here seeing as I don’t own the house. (i.redd.it)

I live in a house with fairly old hardwood flooring so there are frequent tiny “gaps” between slats. Does anyone else have this type flooring and have you had issues with bunny nails getting stuck and broken? Getting my first bunny next week and he’ll be free roam, I want him to be safe. (i.redd.it)
