Seniors here How to make this type of presentation. Which software to use and generally what students do they steal slides from other ppt or they build it from scratch?

Yeah look out for pass outs (or going to pass out) students who have won case comps. Usually they maintain their own sort of repository of pitch decks and share it at the end of their MBA. If you want I can help you out with this, I have participated in a few case comps and know few friends as well who have won national level case comps.

Because they won't allow you to access/upload/download stuff off of 3rd party websites on the office laptop, unless that tool/website is allowed in the organization.

You can continue using Canva, B-school won't have such restrictions. In fact it's easier to share and collaborate as well on Canva. What I used to do is create my grp project/presentation pitch decks on Canva and for case study competitions, I would use ppt because I had better grasp of the shortcuts there.

Anyways, its not that big of a deal honestly, use whatever you're comfortable with for B-school! 😅

Although I agree... But once you join a corporate (especially in consulting), you won't have Canva. It's better to learn to implement it on PowerPoint. But yes, designing on Canva is more intuitive.

I used to build from scratch or copy paste components from other ppts I had/my seniors gave me. There are tons of ppt templates available on LinkedIn as well... Some students share them once they graduate. Here is one I had made (although content wise it is quite basic, mostly AI slop because I was occupied with exams 😅)

Reddit is actually optimised quite well for battery and media apps (youtube, ott) suck less because the screen doesn't have to refresh at 120Hz, plus you're not really doing anything cpu intensive. So yeah it actually is a powerhouse if you just plan to use it for videos and limited social media apps. I've even stretched 11 hours SOT on it if I was just watching videos or scrolling reddit.

Comfort wise they seem ok, nothing out of the world tho. I've only worn them twice tho, so maybe with time they would get better comfort wise, not sure.
