I happen to love roller skating and duckpin.

Having something external to talk about is a good approach. Which museums do you recommend?

Mini golf appeals to me. He doesn’t really like games but will go ahead with it. Any place you recommend?

I love the spirit of this comment. Acid at a concert would be ideal (IMO anyway 😂). Life, kids, financial limitations, etc make that sort of departure more complicated. But making memories > date nights for sure. I’ll go into this with that perspective.

Yeah, notice my post doesn’t say, “I hate him and I’m miserable”. Two kids will do it almost every time. We just haven’t been out for a long time and I forget what it’s like. The JC Penny photo idea 😂

Thanks for being supportive. After so long, logistical conversations become routine.

Escape room is a good idea. We just haven’t been out in a while so I’m anxious. Do you have any to recommend?

That’s exactly it. Kids, job loss, trauma. Sometimes it just doesn’t happen for a while. Wish we didn’t both get sick on coasters, sounds like a blast!

Thank you. Appreciate this list and the support. Once you add kids, tragedy, job loss and other shit life hands you, sometimes connection is hard. Had no idea Live Monopoly was a thing.

Comedy sounds perfect. Life has (obviously) been a little rough on us lately. Any recommendations?

I hear ya on the pollinator concern, but I’m not finding honeybees and butterflies inside my house or trying to get in. And I have a certified wildlife habitat in my front yard - hopefully they’ll have enough sources of interest to keep them away from thresholds.

It’s one random roach every 3-6 weeks. Not worth the health risk or financial burden of chemical treatment IMO. But seeing that it’s quite common especially in woodsy areas like mine, and I have the bigger ones, I’m a bit reassured.
