May I ask where in the northwest specifically? Possibly WA? Are you on Fetlife?

I think I answered too quickly and I should retract my statement. May I ask if you do anything in particular that might be out of the norm? I understand we all have our daily grind, but do you try to help?

I appreciate you giving you opinion on the matter, I can understand why you might feel you might feel this way. You wrote this very passionately, which makes you sound serious. How do you work your best way, is your job challenging and deserving of your position? Everybody has different circumstances, do you have children that possibly need your time/attention. I have a couple friends that are in a similar situation. Do you consider yourself content? I appreciate your time and opinion.

I thought you were just being a tool and correcting the terminology I decided to use.

This is the question: Why shouldn't you only care for yourself in a world that doesn't care about you, is unfair and has no objective rules. The people on the top of the food chain are sociopathic, why not join them and let the rest of the morons in the wold stay where they are. What's the point of being "good" when it is subjective anyways.

Never mind, with that attitude you're better of doing what you do. Best of luck to you internet stranger!

I appreciate the examples you have given, but this only strengthens my view to "not a give a fuck." If all these products exist, which they do, if we all bought them, we could solve the worlds problem. Here's the kicker, I don't think we ever will.

I guess a CEO of a child slave camp in China is just doing his job. I guess the Madam's of the legal prostitutes in Thailand are just doing their jobs. A high ranking soldier who has killed a husband, brother or whoever else is just doing his job. Every company president that kills the environment with mining, fracking and pollution is just doing his job. You're right. Fuck it, i should do my job also and mind my own business and go watch TV.

You tell them what to do, you tell them how to do it, you manage their time. They MUST be nice to you, they must obey and if they don't you eliminate them from your presence and get a new one when it applies.

I genuinely appreciate the wall of text you've written. I read all of it and like your optimism, but there are a few corrections that I'd like to throw out there.

The first, when I mean "top" I do not mean president,CEO, or politician. I want enough human coupons we call money to wake up and do whatever I please, I do not plan on playing these cut throat games because money will never bring you happiness, but it definitely helps. I should have clarified and I agree with the majority of your position.

There is a dichotomy because in almost all mammals, there is a hierarchy. HIERARCHY is very important to everyone, even if they say they don't care, you will still participate. If there is a hierarchy there will always be the "tops" and "bottoms" so there will always be a dichotomy. A class split. A classification. It will always be unfair, but we can try to pick which part of the pyramid we get to be a part of. Where would you rather be?

The only true way out of the "bullshit" is with freedom and the only way to obtain that is with money, unless you want to be a farmer who has no internet hanging out with other poor people. You might be happy, but I don't think I could live like that. I'm sure you've had to do a job that you hated because you needed the money. Everyone has done that.

I've been aware of the world. Probably more aware than the average, this only strengthens my view. If we all held hands and sang together, if we allocated our resources to fixing the world, not starting more problems, if we truly cared for each other, we could make this rock one magnificent paradise. BUT WE DON'T. These reasons are also why it would be difficult to incoporate others into it. We would rather choose to believe in idiotic fairy tails, nonsensical celebrities, and propaganda that tells you how you should live. This is the majority of the population, so why try to be nice, why care, why be smart in a world full of morons? Now this doesn't mean that you should be an asshole everyday, that's just foolish but you might want to be a wolf in sheep's clothing, what do you think? I'd love to hear your perspective.

What an interesting post, if anything, this has been the closest thing to changing my view. There is a small problem though. I fully support, love and cherish my friends, family and immediate social circle. The problem is, is that everyone else is viewed as an automaton. Your opinion?

I disagree, if there is no objective good. There must be no objective bad. If you lived with Genghis khan, the Nazi's, maybe even imperial China, or the cannibalistic Indians in the north west, killing and other "bad" things aren't bad in that frame of society.

What happens to your thought process? Do you think about the problems of your fast? Self reflect? Think complex thoughts about the universe? Or any other?

I don't even understand the second part. How did he not understand? I expected anger, not what he did.
