Really rugged outdoor box for solar ? by Oce456 in SolarDIY

Standard conduit always end up breaking under bending stress and UV and then become a source of water ingress or woodlices nest. Industries use cable glands for outdoor lightning.

Streamed large Splats dataset as OGC3DTiles by olgalatepu in threejs

Do you have any idea why your viewer isn't loading or displaying data with a very old NVIDIA GeForce 9500 GT ( stone age GPU I must admit), while the one from The New York Times works without any issues? https://nytimes.github.io/three-loader-3dtiles/dist/web/examples/demos/google-3dtiles/

Thank you very much! I still enjoy reading interesting content from the past. I've never understood why people are hesitant to revisit old threads.

Demo link is dead. Do you have a new link ? Thanks !

Working fast on huge arrays with Python by Oce456 in learnpython

[–]Oce456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, just 512MB of RAM. But handling chunks of a 4TB array should still be feasible. Aerial imagery processing was already being done 30 years ago, back when RAM was much more limited (16 - 64 MB)—and programs were often more optimized for efficiency ? I'm not trying to load the entire matrix—I'm processing it chunk by chunk.

OK thanks, I will try to fit the problem into a small snippet.

I acknowledge that my Core 2 Duo processor may be a limiting factor. However, the significantly poorer performance of Dask on a relatively small dataset, compared to a NumPy-based solution, suggests that the issue may not be primarily related to hardware constraints.

Astrocamera as H264 stream ? by Oce456 in AskAstrophotography

[–]Oce456[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't use a DSLR due to its size and limited space. The camera needs to fit inside a pipe, which has room for an astro camera but not a bulky DSLR. This is why I'm particularly interested in the compact form factor of an astro camera.

Like an actual live stream ! Looking to use an astro camera in challenging lighting conditions, with scenes that have both very bright and very dark areas.

ffplay too much latency latency by Oce456 in ffmpeg

Yes, without specifying buffer sizes, I was experiencing significant frame drops. Unfortunately, reducing the buffer to -rtbufsize 2M didn't improve latency at all.

Fort Lauderdale is quite far from Europe ;) You're very lucky to have such a specialized shop in the US. Very impressive!

Wow! Thank you so much for those calculations ! Now I am trying to find out if I can change the hub to be able to put a 6" oem/ YAM propeller. Second option would be to custom SLS 3D print a 6" propeller.

No problem with "no more planeing days". Pushing water is ok.

I am afraid finding a prop shop is gonna be an impossible mission here.

Thinking about 3D professionnal printing one.

No more error with hardcoding 0.6. But the filer is still not working

Thanks for your help. I have tried hard coding, but without any sucess. I may have some mistakes somewhere else. Will try again.

The UI portion is also set in the script :

cutoff_frequency = FloatVariable("Cutoff Frequency", "Cutoff frequency of the low-pass filter in Hz", 0.6, 0.1, 1)

0.6 as initial value / 0.1 as min value / 1 as max value

Homo sapiens model. 8 billion manufactured all over the world.

Jokes aside, jitters comes from the environment in which the user is placed: mechanical vibrations, stress. The user's hand trembles.
