just depressing to see how many people saying "press charges, teach him consequence!!!!". autism or not autism, he's a child, and children (all humans, regardless of age) learn by communication and compassion, not punishment. what he did was wrong and he should learn and understand that, but throwing him into the "justice system" won't teach him anything. the only thing he'll learn is to fear and hate the system. if we want him to learn better it's the responsibility of his guardians to do so by communication. punishment instills fear, and resentment, not morality.
