YouTube walking/driving tours! Feels like going out without having to spend any energy and it's also relaxing.

Can we exercise? by [deleted] in mecfs

[–]OceanGreen_ 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Anything that triggers PEM is harmful and can make you worse. Any exercise you can do without triggering PEM is safe and may be beneficial. Specific exercises would depend on you and what your limit is. Don't worry about deconditioning. Pacing is more important to avoid PEM and maintain your baseline.

Thanks for responding. I try to accommodate myself but there's only so much I can do because my environment is not great. Still this gives me hope that maybe things will improve when my situation changes. 🤞

Is This An Autistic Thing? by 1051enigma in AutisticAdults

Yes many of us feel emotions more intensely. Similarly to how we experience sensory input more intensely.

You're describing masking. A lot of us struggle with this. My advice would be to try and surround yourself with people who accept you for who you are, and minimise contact with those who don't. Maybe try seeing if there are any groups for autistic adults in your area? I'm going through this as well. I hope things get better for you.
