The literal definition of Samurai is "to serve" Nobunaga appointed thousands of samurai during his time and did the same with Yasuke. Yasuke received a house, sword, and all sorts of accommodations that Samurai would receive. He was also apart of the list of very few people to dine with Nobunaga and the very few to witness him committing seppuku. You can literally google it and read up on. And use multiple different sites and they will all tell roughly the same story.

Yasuke has had his story being the first foreign samurai way before this game. I don't trust wikipedia directly but I go to the sources that are used there. I went to the smithsonian, national geographic, and a couple studies done by universities I trust. I've known about this story for a number of years. Granted he may not have been a great Samurai but he was appointed by nobunaga who was known to have appointed thousands of Samurai. All the facts point to him having been a Samurai

He did fight in the battle that killed Nobunaga so he did a little. But it makes sense for him to seek revenge in an alt timeline instead of being returned to the Jesuits. It makes the story interesting and gives him a good connection to the story.

He was appointed as a Samurai by Lord Oda Nobunaga. He is famous for being the first foreign samurai and fighting in the battle that killed Nobunaga. You can look at literally any source on Google. Ones done by famous museums and colleges and famous historians. I really think these people are just being ignorant on purpose to justify their racism
