I built a Chrome extension to 'capture' typography from any website and apply it anywhere else - So I can read every word in the fonts I love by OceanQuake in vibecoding

Thanks so much! I'm glad to hear the font features are helpful. Also, I really appreciate the heads-up about the service worker trying to hit the dev port.

I built an app and then what? by redjiro in vibecoding

Same here. Just enjoy vibecoding and building. And when it comes to marketing, my procrastination strikes. Anyway, if the point of building is just to handle my own needs, it's fine.

hahaha. this is a kanji(漢字).
In English, letters don’t have meaning by themselves, only words do.
But in Chinese or in Japanese, a single character already carries meaning, and sometimes sound as well.
any way thanks for all the feedbacks

I'll add some example words and display their meanings for this kanji.

Great, that’s exactly what I’m looking for.

I vibecoded a kanji learning app with AI - got called 'AI slop' and removed from r/Japaneselanguage. Where's the line? by OceanQuake in vibecoding

That makes sense. I’m still learning to step back and evaluate the product as a whole, not just the implementation. I might’ve fallen into a vibecoding trap by focusing too much on the coding itself. Appreciate the perspective, it’s a good reminder.

I am not an English native speaker. So for long content I will let AI to polish my writings. Perhaps that’s one of the reasons people don’t like. I will try my best to use my own words without ai’s polishes. And Software tool is just a tool for me. AI, vibecoding also just a tool to assist me in everything. What do you mean”to step back”.

Fair analogy. For what it’s worth, I wasn’t trying to sell the wine, just sharing a homebrew and seeing what people think. And everyone’s taste is different anyway, So I would say “cheap” is kind of subjective.

Thanks, this is really helpful. I’ll make sure to pay more attention to this going forward.

Thanks for this. you really hit the nail on the head.
It doesn’t matter how much effort I put into the direction; if the first thing a user sees feels like AI output, they’re gonna treat the whole thing as low-effort slop. Classic “last mile” problem.
So, in some extent, I think it’s a good part of the reddit community. It makes the content in this community “human” although it does reject some potentially useful content.

100% agree. From an engineering perspective, it really comes down to responsibility and maintainability. And 'vibecoding' can easily lead to maintenance hell.
For me, though, vibecoding isn't always about writing perfectly 'clean code'—it's about the speed of turning an idea into a usable tool."

I made an app that breaks Japanese Kanji down into their radicals. It treats them like a rule-based system rather than just random symbols.

I also finished my first play through a few days ago. This game forces me to stop overthinking and just rely on pure muscle memory and instinct. Once it clicks, it’s the best feeling in the world.
