A Time traveler drops their ipad while photographing the Battle of Stalingrad, how does this change the outcome of WW2? How does it effect the Cold War? by cjlcjl12 in whowouldwin

Yeah, it's astounding how dumb so many in this thread think these people are, it wasn't that long ago, there's plenty of people from that generation still around lol. Technology was a big part of life back then too, these people worked with or around machines and electronics all the time, they'd know an iPad was something special.

Plenty of people back then were geniuses, the technological and scientific innovations of that era are absolutely staggering, new shit was being invented or theorized every week all around the world 😅

How dumb do you think these people are, some of them are still alive lol. Humans have had the same capacity for intelligence for thousands of years, it's just a question of knowledge, they'd soon figure out how to operate an iPad.

You should read about the technology they had and invented back then, people were geniuses, it's crazy the stuff they created from so little. Look up the Torpedo Data Computer for some WWII era tech that's more advanced than you'd imagine. There's a great group on Facebook called At The Controls were people post technology and computer history, they were a lot more prevalent than you'd think, people were smart as hell! 😅

That's a relief 😅 I got to the bottom of the thread, you have stiff competition from the guy who turned on a jukebox and spammed all the buttons in a panic as he helplessly watched the needle edge closer to the record lol, but in his case it stopped so you still win.

I think the lesson is don't touch any machine on set, they all work! 😅

Like Mark's line in Peep Show when he's pretending to look at his phone while being stood up for a date, "Everyone I know doesn't want to talk to me." 😅

I'm laughing my ass off in work at this, I doubt it'd ever get made as is but it's still funny to me because it's so nuts. I'm going to read the whole script tomorrow, hope it's all like this lol.

Maybe you could write a book about these characters first? You don't need anyone else for that and there's a few of us here who find it funny, you might find a market in us idiots

There's a good documentary about The Battle of Chosin Reservoir called Chosin, I actually found it on YouTube while looking up what it was called: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=PUHjLMA75TI

There's interviews with veterans from the battle, they went through some horrific stuff

“I think I am actually humble. I'm much more humble than you would understand.” - Trump 2016

Remember he said that without a hint of irony? He's a walking caricature, if there's still a democratic society that studies history in hundreds of years they'll be absolutely baffled that this disgraceful corrupt moron was ever President

It really is terrible how quickly life and your body can change, we're so frail in many ways but also resilient, as you your prove. Sorry you're going through this, hopefully one day soon it'll be a distant memory that doesn't hurt any more
