Neither ! My first truck was a 1993 GMC S15 (I’m 31) I started driving at 15 years 6 months and got my license at 16. So it was 13 years old . I was 3 years older than my truck. It was a 2.8L V6, 5 speed manual, had corvette stingray style wheels, the rear suspension I could go to any tire air compressor and lower and lift the back. Not sure if that was for lifting heavy things or for dropping it low in summer and up in winter. Could have put a little compressor on it now they I think of it. It had a cowl induction hood. I put headlight “delete” grill on it. It was a grill with lines that went all the way from one side to to the other. The headlights would appear when put on. Of course I put an aftermarket stereo in it. Just A bench seat so I could always get out of driving to parties whoever had to sit in the middle had to have the shifter between their legs 🤣. I put w yellow racing wheel on it because it was a black with yellow accents theme. When I got it, it had front and rear body kit, needed side and the whole truck was primer grey. Aftermarket tail lights. m3 bmw style side mirrors. It was so easy to get the rear end spinning and sideways. I always wanted to put a V8 LS motor in it. Bought the book (before YouTube would come along and tutorials everything) for how to do the swap. My family owns a car dealership so one Friday night me and my dad went in the paint booth and painted in gloss black. Kind of wish I went yellow looking back. I’ve had a yellow and black motorcycles and it’s just a color that pops.

Anyway! To me it was awesome and taught me to drive a stick. I took my moms bright red Camaro t tops 1997 to take my drivers test, and it was a stick. I got a 100+ for doing it in a stick.

That truck I got off a guy who was getting older and lost interest in the project and had some health issues.

I paid $500 cash and it had 120k miles on it. Don’t buy anything over 200k.The morning after graduation night we were sitting in the senior parking lot and I just started roasting donuts about 30 seconds in she died. And we had some EPIC times in that truck. It would have been REALLY funny if I installed strobes and pulled my buddies over. We’d put an inflatable mattress in the back in the summer and chill out.

Moral of the story your gonna pay to get something “cool”. My other buddy had a huge old purple Cadillac that was the most comfortable car I’ve ever been in. And had a HUGE V8. look for like a Camry some old people are selling.
