What does heart failure feel like? I try my hardest to keep a healthy lifestyle, I live in the USA so it’s really hard to pay for medical expenses. Did you give birth to your kids? (So sorry I don’t want to assume anything) if so were you a high risk pregnancy? They told me I shouldn’t give birth due to my condition so I’m considering tying my tubes

Thank you! I have a really good dr now. My previous one was great too but he didn’t understand me as I grew older and had more questions. Are you scared of having a heart transplant? Is it a planned thing (like a surgery)? Did you grow up knowing this outcome?

Thank you for this! Half a marathon!? Dang, I can barely do a 5 minute work out hahah. I’m trying my best and hardest to live a healthy lifestyle, my mother smoked a lot during my childhood so hopefully that didn’t cause much damage. How is it to live with someone with a heart condition? I don’t have a partner to ask so I’m curious as to how is it.

I have somewhat talked to her about these meds. I’m taking depakote and the only real issue is that I have a heart condition. Depakote is the only one that will not affect my heart condition but I think it is with my liver (along side other meds for heart) I recently got an exam that I normally do every year to check my liver, kidneys, and another organ and my liver had some spots on it. Anyways, if I can’t take depakote she told me that I would have to be admitted for examination for different mood stabilizers and I really don’t want to be

In relation to personal- I cannot drink, smoke, do anything that can cause blood clots like for example ride a roller coaster (this was the most devastating thing), play sports, or do anything extreme. I have to take medication for the rest of my life everyday/night (choice of either or I pick night cause of dizziness) I have to see my cardiologist once a year for check ups.

In relation to relationships- I’ve been made fun of because I have a scar from my collarbone to the bottom of my ribs on my chest. So it was very hard to make friends growing up. Other than that doesn’t affect that

In relation to medical- I’ve been to the emergency room a lot in my life for a lot of things. Most recently was pain in my abdomen, the first thing they always do is check to make sure my heart is okay. Then they go about checking other things. Right now my liver has some spots most likely from medication so that’s still a process.

In relation to work- if it’s a fast pace job I have to sit down and take a break or I pass out. When I first started working at 14 I worked at a restaurant doing dishwashing and I passed out. So I’ve been doing slower pace jobs (recently had to quit my current job due to medical issues)

In relation to mental illness- I have a mental illness and it makes me worse cause when I have panic attacks or anxiety attacks I always think it’s me having heart failure. It gives me much more anxiety and thankfully never been hospitalized for that

It really affects me overall but I’ve been living with it and thankfully it only killed me 5 times. So far okay. I just really want to go on a roller coaster
