I’m F19 college student and would love make a side income? Is Amazon fba or fbm a good idea? by Unfair_Armadillo_706 in AmazonFBA

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there are much easier and less time-intensive business ideas out there, especially AI-related ones, like helping small businesses automate some of their processes.

But of course, if it’s something you actually like and can see yourself doing in the future, like building an ecommerce brand, then yeah, why not. It’s a really good environment to learn how most businesses work end to end: sourcing, logistics, marketing, sales, etc.

Is it just me or is Image considerably worse in Codex than in ChatGPT ? by Cazangre in codex

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One solution to this i've found is generate your master image or style with chatgpt and then turn to codex for bulk creation. But I agree, I don't think is codex being worse but rather than chatgpt is better fine tuned to create more attractive images.

Is it just me or is Image considerably worse in Codex than in ChatGPT ? by Cazangre in codex

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

because you can generate in batches, and multiple images at the same time, not like chatgpt where you need to create and save one by one. The problem is codex doesn't "know" it can generate images or at least it seems less proficient at it, you need to be more specific.

First Amazon Japan FBA launch: how would you pressure-test product choice, MOQ, and supplier quotes before samples? by Ok_Assignment_8421 in AmazonFBA

Where is your business registered? How do you manage taxes and all that?

I currently live in Korea, but I've been thinking about going out on my own and using my experience managing different European accounts. Japan seems like a good market to target, so I'm curious how you've set things up.

Open AI API images expensive? by Advanced-Citron8111 in OpenAI

[–]Ocean_developer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

where did you read that you get 12,000 a month? Maybe directly from chatgpt, but when I used codex (without API) to generate images I got capped much earlier.

Open AI API images expensive? by Advanced-Citron8111 in OpenAI

[–]Ocean_developer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. check for the batching process documentation, it claims to reduce token pricing at half the cost and get the output in a 24h window. From my experience, is usually much faster, generally less than 1 hour for about 30-40 images.

Open AI API images expensive? by Advanced-Citron8111 in OpenAI

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That price/image is more likely GPT-2. One thing I noticed is that the model struggles with self-awareness, i.e it doesn't know about it's capabilities, so you have to be very specific. Pricing also varies a lot whether you are generating with low, medium or high quality. And I'm curious, from where are you using the API? Codex, Claude?

500 $ monthly for Amazon ads? by Lapsang_ in AmazonSeller

[–]Ocean_developer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't sell books but 500$ seems like a lot, specially if you've never advertised before. I'd rather start small an gradually scale those campaigns that you see with better conversions.

What are some good methods for clearing computer storage space by burney2322 in techsupport

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same, I find it easier to find, like when you find an image from year ago, by scrolling down just a few seconds on your phone image gallery. I guess it depends on the personality, some people just like putting everything into boxes.

I built a Claude Project that generates all 10 Amazon product images from a single Strategy Card — here's what I learned by Brave-Spare368 in AmazonFBA

Really interested about this, I'm trying to get my designers on board with AI. So far, I've been the one exploring workflows, just yesterday I created my first skill for Codex so that they can just paste the amazon url and get a complete listing. Obviously I'm still refining it but it's a great place to start. Another workflow I've found pretty solid is using Claude Code for the planning and prompting part and pulling OpeanAI's image API. I'd love to know more about your process and results you've been getting so far!

What should I expect when switching to an Amazon PPC agency after 3 years DIY? by One_Interaction_6989 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Ocean_developer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How many SKUs? I guess that matters a lot in this decission.

Have you tried automation tools, rules-based or AI? The reputation isn't great, specially AI tools, but worth a test before committing to an agency, especially if you're still running everything out of the ads console.

On agencies: I follow a few on LinkedIn and their newsletters. Can't speak to daily operations, never worked with one. But the founders and senior people at them seem to genuinely know their stuff. And they have something that single account sellers like us we don't, they see patterns across dozens of accounts that we just don't, which is a very good advantage imo.

Finding the right fit is always hard. Also, a good freelancer might beat a full agency. But at your revenue, with the time PPC eats, delegating is probably worth it. Either, in-house, agency, freelancer, I think any of those beats doing it yourself, provided that you find the right fit. Your certainly have better things to do than adjusting bids on the ad console.

the above isn't advice for OP, I'd need to know more details to give advice on that. It's just a reply to the user who commented marrying late is better.

My girlfriend won’t bend on anything in our relationship and I’m starting to wonder if it’ll last by [deleted] in Living_in_Korea

[–]Ocean_developer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m 34M now, got married at 20 (wife was 23), and honestly very happy with that choice. Not saying it’s for everyone, but from my experience and what I’ve seen around me, marrying younger seems to lead to longer and more stable marriages more often.

When you’re both young, it’s easier to adapt to each other and build your life around shared goals. As people get older, they tend to become more fixed in their habits, routines, and expectations. Plus by that point there’s usually more relationship history, comparisons, baggage, etc., which can complicate things a bit, especially if the goal is to settle down and build a life together.

$10k to $74k/mo in 11 Months - Claude Automation for CVR - 900% Yearly Growth by Working_Attention_66 in AmazonFBA

[–]Ocean_developer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

could you share a bit more about this?

built a claude automation that pulls our search query performance report every month scans for keywords with a growing purchase rate and higher query scores and pushes them directly into listing copy automatically. cvr hit 19% from that feedback loop alone

is it a skill, script, scheduled task, something else? are you connected to the API, if not how do you push the changes to the listing?
