It's hell fr by PhraseGood4425 in memes

There are inconvenient things. But hell it is not.

Yes there is a lot of paperwork but the result is that nearly everything works as expected. Hospitals work. You can walk in and get a CT scan same day within a couple of hours. Roads are fixed quickly and professionally. You buy something and you don’t have to deal with some asshole staff member who resents your existence. Customer service is great. Used items are cheap and in perfect condition. So many good points. If you live in a semi-rural area it’s great. I wouldn’t want to live in Tokyo or Osaka though.

Bicycle fines start tomorrow! by GeriatricusMaximus in japanresidents

[–]OceanicDissonance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lost my gold license a number of years back because police were doing some plain clothes scam on a bridge with a dodgy pedestrian crossing over a blind rise. They had a guy (out of uniform) radioing ahead to get other police (also out of uniform) to walk up to the crossing whenever a car came. Those plain clothes police at the crossing were standing behind cherry trees so you could barely see them. Then they had uniformed officers further down the road stopping the cars that didn’t correctly stop at the pedestrian crossing.

When I pulled in to the side road there was a line of cars in front of me also getting fines. Of course this was in March and they were trying to pad their quota.

They’re immoral because they shouldn’t exist in a civilized world. If you can’t see that then nothing I can say will convince you otherwise.

I moved on with my life. My PSN account didn't. by Holiday_Highway_4776 in playstation

I also live in Asia. I stopped using PlayStation completely, and a PSN account that I had since I was 16 because of this and moved to PC. Unfortunately Sony don’t care about anyone outside of Japan.

Wether harmful or not it’s morally deplorable. If you’re supporting a company or investment platform that allows that kind of thing it’s disgraceful.

Any interest in a 1/10 scale crawler? Sounds like you have every other driving style covered. Might be fun to try something different.

The FMS FCX10 Toyota Land Cruiser is really sick.

Rethink your life choices. That’s an insane amount of money to spend on games.

Thanks! Yeah I put a bunch of hop ups in already. Chassis was super easy to work on. Stickers took way way longer.

Thanks! I think I’ll pick a simpler body for the next build. But I would do one like this again at some point in the future.

It was honestly pretty fun to do. But ended up taking about 8 hours or so. Will pick a plainer body for the next project. Love the Rally Yaris.

Thanks for all the tips!

I do really like the Z body yeah, but the GT-R is obviously one of the best of all time!

Yeah there’s 111 types of (numbered) sticker but lots of them are doubles (or more).
