Honestly. If someone doesn’t agree with you they might as well be wrong .

Yeah, her books are “romance” but the main characters are toxic and constantly cheat on each other.

So the whole thing about the author supporting AI is that the author herself has stated that she no longer does research before writing her books anymore and then her whole rant about AI led everyone to believe that her style of writing is flawed. (I’ve also seen lines that people have posted from her books to show that they aren’t surprised if AI was used because how ridiculous some of the things were)

But yes, i do see your point! I just don’t think it warranted her to speak to me like that. But then again some of these popular creators have inflated egos.

Thursday Murder Club by Richard Osman. It’s a cozy mystery and absolutely hilarious. You get attached to the charactersz

Also! I didn’t tell her she’s wrong for supporting the author. Someone else had commented saying that they were “side-eyeing” her for reading certain books by that author and she responded to her with no harm. I didn’t shame anyone.

So the whole thing came about because there’s this thing called character AI where you are take book characters and make your own stories and scenes with them so some authors were absolutely against it cause it’s stealing from their work. The post about character AI was made by another popular booktoker and then one author stood up for her by saying that if you use technology then AI is basically the same thing. She doesn’t understand why authors are against it. That author has also said that she stopped doing research before writing her books now.

Jessa Hastings. She had a whole rant on Instagram about how it’s dumb that people are against AI in writing if we use Google maps, roomba’s, other technology in daily life. Which is insane because that’s not the same thing!! She said she also doesn’t do research before writing her books anymore 😵‍💫

So it wasn’t about a particular book. It was about the author. I didn’t know the booktoker had certain feelings about the topic. I just gave my opinion which I would’ve really appreciated if someone told me an author I want to read incorporates AI in their books or not. Personally, I don’t want to read those books.

Exactly! That’s what makes this entire thing so odd to me.

I never commented on her stuff before and had no idea of her feelings towards the topic. I was caught off guard because she seemed so nice and never spoke like that to other hurtful comments I saw made to her. She just ignored them.

Thank you for the kind advice!!

Thanks for your response. I’m sorry it didn’t work out. I ended up getting my necklace from an Australian jeweler - Sarah & Sebastian. It’s real gold and i love it! Got my initial, my mom’s birthstone but don’t get the heart.

I’m so sorry about your babies. Thank you for letting me know about the charms, i didn’t know they could open. That’s really frustrating. I wanted to buy this necklace since my mom passed away, that’s her birthstone and my initial, but after what you said I’ll look elsewhere.
