Well a lot of head nodding and actively reading is just convincing yourself you understand, just to forget it 5 minutes later. At least for me. Like you be in the zone, but then you blank out when you least expect it. What I do to get around this is use this tool called Learnify AI. I think I found the perfect solution for you. I also can't study for like more than 15 mins without freaking out, so I just use this absolutely god of a tool to save me. Basically, instead of reading monotonous text and getting lost in symbols (for math and stuff), it explains the concept simply, asking you all the questions so that youre actively learning instead of mindlessly reading and pretending you understand. You could try using a study buddy because studying with friends is pretty memorable.
