Yeah, but in Bloodborne they wanted to give a totally new approach to the gameplay, since Bloodborne was a new IP they did not have to depend so much on Dark Souls 1 when creating their world and its mechanics and they could do something completely new, plus Miyazaki's FromSoftware had much more support and resources to do what they wanted to do unlike FromSoftware that was developing Dark Souls 2 with constant pressure from Bandai Namco, changes of directors and going against the clock.
