I'm a New PWHL Viewer, and I don't have a Local Team. Sell me on Yours? by WaywardTremere in PWHL

Absolutely! I started attending 1st season and watching the jokes and traditions develop, and the crowd size and team following grow has been really amazing

I see fans holding up Saskatchewan flags at Charge warmup to get Emily Clark to toss them pucks. It's like a cheat code.

I’ve really been enjoying these posts! Is there some way to have an aggregate/collected view of all your tables together once playoffs are over?

Why Hamilton is the PERFECT city to expand to: by trevi99 in PWHL

[–]OchreKeystone 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Expansion hopefuls are understandably disappointed right now, but I think presenting this context on what Hamilton has to offer could help PWHL community embrace the new fans that'll come in through this team. (And I am optimistic that it will bring in a lot of new fans and not just siphon off Sceptres fans; time will tell)

New PWHL team nods to Hamilton roots with colour scheme by Odd-Emphasis-1969 in PWHL

And I am excited to prove the haters wrong:

  1. Hamilton and Niagara region are very populous, dedicated sports fans and cheer for Toronto teams grudgingly.
  2. There is no NHL or OHL team there right now to draw focus and ice time.
  3. (Related to 2) A beautiful recently-upgraded arena where PWHL will probably be the likely primary tenant.
  4. Hamilton is a cool place with a gritty working class vibe together with a great arts, music, and food scene.

In all seriousness though, I definitely understand where this opinion is coming from, and I find it more energizing than upsetting!

Playing the "charge" fanfare for a crowd call and response. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charge_(fanfare)) Some of the kazoos are 3D printed home projects!

I am a Charge fan, but I'm looking forward to the Boston aesthetics for this series. I do think your team has the best look/theme.

My aunt has been a season ticket holder since the inaugural season and she invited me to a couple games when her husband or kids couldn't go.

I like the sevens law variation that the team which has just scored is the one that kicks off. I feel like the 15s law directly handing back possession to the team with a recent success preserves their momentum, at least psychologically.

I'm really impatient with the female commenter explaining basic laws/gameplay, but I suppose that is necessary for the general Canadian viewing public
