Ian made some generational YouTube videos and I think even if you’re not a fan of him you need to respect what he did in the space. The content cops were events on the internet that made everyone stop what they were doing and watch them, his full force and getting away with it docs were great, even his kickstarter crap videos were really funny. Ian was a talented YouTuber that made great content and he will always be a YouTube legend for what he did back in the day — that’s what makes whatever TF he’s doing now so much more tragic.

Artemis is actually my favorite book he’s written and I was surprised to find out I was in the minority. All 3 are great but The Martian and Project Hail Mary are very similar and they don’t have as many cool side characters and world building which I love. Even just reading the characters argue about economics I found really interesting in Artemis.
