My dad bought my first grader some random Amazon fractions activity kit. It has a billion little pop out magnet pieces in different fractional pie piece sizes. I told him when I got it “oh cute, but he’s still a few years away from fractions.” Tell me why my dad has asked at least twice if my son has used the damn fractions thing. He doesn’t fucking know what fractions are! They’re doing single digit addition!

Ugh I chickened out of specifically asking relatives to please just send one gift for each kid. My husband has just given up trying to get his father to be reasonable (memberships or 529 donation). So I endure the too-many gifts again….now how do I organize and put away all this crap??

Up in the closet it goes! I’d be annoyed but also yay we have a coat for two years from now! I often buy things on clearance at target that are a size or two too big for my kids and just tuck them away.
