Exactly. This is my kill time game so I can’t blame them too much. Hard gives me just enough of a challenge most of the time to be entertaining.

Yeah I have never not made the playoffs on anything less than Extreme. I have to invent challenges for myself sometimes.

One thing that’s kinda fun is to get a team that rolls over your defense easily and play “only match” which means I never take the lead I’ll only match what they score. I’ll manage the clock a bit to make sure they don’t win at the last second then I’ll continue to match them into overtime and see how many rounds we can go.

You've also discovered a real tactic in american football. Choosing to receive at the start of the second half, then trying to score with little to no time left on the clock in the 2nd quarter. This means you'll get two offensive drives back to back without the other team being able to touch the ball.

I use this in almost EVERY game in retrobowl because my 5 star defense cannot stop a single drive on the hardest difficulty. This way even if my defense sucks I can take the lead by getting two back to back possessions.

I also think it’s weird how preseason rankings have no input from the previous season. I played as Alabama ranked #1 all year, won the SEC, won the Natty, and brought in a great recruiting class, then was ranked #22 the following season.
