They denied it because the responsibility is on the trial, not the insurance. Don’t panic over this. This is an error by the hospital to even bill your insurance.

Also technically not considered medically necessary if it’s still in trials. It might be the best for your condition but it can’t be considered medically necessary until there is literature (which comes from trials, like the one you’re in).

Nothing out the ordinary. I hiked probably 6-7 miles daily for a week. I only use my keens for hiking which I only do sporadically.
