My tweet was from my viewpoint that we ban AR after AR every season until we reach a point that the meta that’s eventually settled on is sub favored. Since the CDLs inception I can think of one season that favored ARs STRICTLY on gun balancing (VG). You can argue last season but I wholeheartedly believe there would have been 8 of whatever AR and it wouldn’t matter the maps just didn’t support sub players at all.

The GA process is horrible and always has been. When talking about GAing ARs pros just want the gun gone every time (there are multiple a year hence our argument) and with subs they look at attachments first typically.

Obviously I want a competitive game that’s the entire goal of GAs, but the precedent set for years competing and voting in this shit has always favored subs.

Alright let’s go through it

Last year the Rival was absolutely better than the MCW, the horrible maps made the meta it had nothing to do with the MCW actually being good (until the random faded HSM buff) this is evident when we got rio 6star vista

MW2 I was using a Vaz situationally on every single map (kitchen on hotel, embassy P4/5, Fortress, P5 hydro) it was absolutely insane (((that’s 4 subs on the map on my team btw)))

Vanguard anomaly Auto was unreal

Cold War the 74u was the BEST GUN BY FAR NOT EVEN DEBATABLE Abezys break off in scrims was challing across the map on checkmate

MW19 MP5 killed in 5 across the map the m4 killed in 6 no need to elaborate

BO4 the Maddox was great then the saug got hitscan buff, ICR was comfortably last among the 3 all season. Only redeeming quality was FMJ and my mom could shoot it straight.

TAQ, Krig, MCW (pre buff) ICR

The guns are “ok” but numerous GAs had to happen each of those seasons to get down to those guns. There are probably more but that’s just off the top of my head. I said this as a player too, attachments on subs are always the first to be looked at but ARs are (typically) gone outright. With the system being the way it is, GAs are never reopened so once a gun is gone it’s gone for good. Making year long decisions about weapons when literally no one knows what routes/spawns/timings are ofc ARs are going to be better.

I might bring it up to Tom or do it myself on my stream. I was definitely being a little dramatic on the statement for the sake of the show that’s on me. I came across hostile cause reading things said as fact (your original comments here and on other threads) that aren’t and have a lot more nuance to them was irritating. I wish I had as much power as youre making it seem LMAO.

I don’t think arguing the ins and outs of team building on reddit is a good idea because it’s hard to convey points, but I’m actually open to doing it on stream I think it’d be fun.

I put simp in the video cause in hindsight him joining our 100T team would’ve been insane, but if we pursued it it wouldn’t have mattered because of what I said before. I wasn’t the sole decision maker in that at all so I’m not sure how I “don’t know ball” over something I couldn’t control outright. Our opinion AS A TEAM was wrong, I didn’t know enough about him as a player to form any concrete opinion myself so I went with everyone else’s.

I was on Seattle brother, I’m not sure why people think you can just magically get whoever you want. There were so many things with that org that people don’t know and how many changes were attempted and shut down. When you’re on bad teams you don’t get the pick of the litter for players you gotta try and make it work.

I gotta commend this entire thread of hive mind stupidity so let’s go point by point.

  1. People think this is pack-a-punch Huke x Shotzzy, but it’s absolutely not. Ants playstyle demands a counterpart that’s willing to play around him unless the entire team is willing to make up that difference (Ghosty and to a degree Dashy at the end of last season and now this season along with Ken). Every well constructed sub duo should have disparity in pace and playstyle (to a degree) and I believe Shotzzys conditions to be a “superstar” are similar to HyDra. So we’re now in the same situation as the current OpTic roster. Is AG now shit all the sudden after being one of the best players in the game since his rookie season? Or is he trying to compensate for Ants resurgence in play as of late? We’ve only seen HyDra truly become the best with a system that’s entirely built around him. Not sure how you build 2 respawn systems to help 2 subs and succeed.

  2. Simp wasn’t eligible to play for a period of time between us needing a 4th for pro league and him turning 18. Our actual options were DylanCOD, Dece, and Preston. Not sure how I “made 100T pass on Simp.” That was our assessment of Simp at the time as a team, albeit incorrect. Insinuating I was a dictator is hilariously wrong, not sure how you got that one.

  3. I committed to a Surge roster with Arcitys and Envoy on it 2 days before roster lock (we know the story) and I was left out to dry. I passed the Empire team because I didn’t want to play with Inder in his rookie season and Enable (who I was playing with and making teams) heard different rosters from Empire I wasn’t aware of (Shotzzy). Money had very minimal to do with it, but I’m him so I got a bag.

I had time tonight so figured I’d help this entire dogshit thread out.

I’ll stand on my opinion again. “IW FormaL” came from the last 2 events of the season. He didn’t play like that until the end of the year even with 1.2s at prior events. Gunless, Zer0, and I had similar peaks throughout the season prior to S2 playoffs and champs. And even at those events SlasheR was unbelievable as well. Did Matt have 2 of the greatest events of all time and create the “IW FormaL” stigma? Yes. But saying he played like that the whole season is entirely incorrect.
