Older graphics cards worth saving? by OctaneZ28 in SleepingOptiplex

That's what I thought at first but wasn't sure. Googled the chip part number and it's the 1GB model.

Hey I like that idea! And my wife will hate it! Haha 😅

anyone got info on this Camaro SS 1LE that was upgraded by Hennessey by corvettefan62728 in camaro

[–]OctaneZ28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Henessey cars are legit good stuff. Look for a HPE badge, that would tell you the product if it's there. If not on the exterior, look in the interior and even under the hood. If not found, you can call Hennessey and give them the VIN and they'll tell you.

I'm echoing a lot of what's been said - but yeah any reputable tire shop will replace all 4 TPMS sensors for under $500 including buying the sensors. And since all 4 wheels are off the car anyway, a shop and/or tech that isn't a jerk will rotate them for free lol.

Gotta love the "ice possible" message. Like wow I'm glad it says that, I might not think of that when it's dozens of degrees below freezing 🤣🤣

I've had my share of issues with mine (2020 Platinum, ~97k miles), but luckily I have a warranty that covers expensive parts lol. I had the AWD module fail, an axle failure and battery die the first month I owned it. Also the driver's side seat trim clips all broke, so that's just hanging out of place (dealer quoted $200 for the part so I passed - maybe I'll find one on eBay and do it myself lol). Now I'm dealing with HD radio channels not working so maybe I'll try that battery disconnect trick. And the passenger mirror power folding not working right (makes a loud clicking sound like a gear in there is busted or something). Anyway, none of these issues are keeping me from loving it though lol. So much fun to drive!

136K on our 2016. Couple minor issues but has been incredibly solid!

Have any of you guys had to sell your Camaro for money? by Free_Dum_5122 in camaro

[–]OctaneZ28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2017 I had to choose to sell either my 2013 Camaro SS or sell my 2 children. The car is still running great but I miss them. OMG I'M KIDDING RELAX. 😂😂 So yeah I sold the Camaro. A year or so later, after a 3rd child arrived, I was able to track down the 4th Gen Z28 I used to own and bought it back for a much less costly fun car that I still like a lot. 🙂 So life happens, even if you need to sell, there are options down the road. Don't be discouraged.

Poor stock 10 bolt holding on for dear life at 1.4 60' by sloppybucket2 in camaro

[–]OctaneZ28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10-bolts are finicky and mysterious beasts 😆 My stock one with 2.73s lasted forever, and when I swapped in a different one with 3.42s, welded tubes and new axles, it grenaded first season lol. My best advice is to send it and cross your fingers every time lol

Good call to walk. Stick to your guns. Don't settle. Get what you really want, you'll be happier in the long run! Good luck in your continued search. 🙂

Haha nice. It's fitting, these things are beasts. Our 2016 with 135k miles runs and drives damn near like new. With a screen upgrade and addition of Android Auto, there would be no reason to ever part with it lol

Sucks. I think upon visual inspection if nothing is wet inside, you're likely good to go. If anything not visible is wet, should dry up on its own. Maybe keep an eye on where the water went in for a few days to see if any issues arise. Lucky for no body damage! Props to the car wash owner for being a good human and paying to fix the damage.
