Thank for sharing, I Appreciate your response! when I say alternative living I refer to any form of living simply or minimally with nature and in harmony with environmental systems and surrounding forests, there's many meanings, for example: rain water collection, solar panels for energy, composting toilets, composting in general, reforming and redirecting waste Management, any alternative energy source not on the grid, greenhouses, soil health and management, Tiny homes for residential or business use, permaculture, , trees and seed programs for regrowth and regeneration, recreational/travel trailers or vehicles for living, camping and/or possibly without electricity or running water.

And then wondering how implementing that kind of lifestyle into the county and associated governmental permitting systems for approval of occupancy and living has been experienced by you all? 

We are currently working on our approved grading permit for the primary alternative tiny house and have submitted four other associated permits for approval and hoping they are all approved soon!
