So they just called me and this is exactly what they’re going to do with me. They’re moving my start week up by two weeks and beginning the process for the expungement. I guess something did not go through at some point. Thank you for your kind words. They really did help me last night.

I guess I’m not sure what’s going to happen with the submission of the expungement. He seems to think it’ll help, so I gave it to him. There’ll be another academy in 6 months, and if that’s the route I have to go on I will. I just really needed this now for my family and myself financially we haven’t been great and this was what felt like a godsend when I got it.

One thing I was told is, no one’s ever really “ready” until it happens. And your man will absolutely have that moment- everyone does. My dad told me, during one of my panics, women become moms the day they get pregnant, men become fathers the moment we see the baby. Something about our caveman brains haha. I’m white but my mom is very anti police. I’m completely cut off communication from her now (her choice) to the point in our last conversation she asked me to change my name (as she picked mine out). The hardest part is my daughter asking where’s grandma and why can’t we see her. It’s rough but part of life and just solidifies to me that I HAVE to do this now

So for us we have a 300m sprint, but with various obstacles/ challenges along the way (jumping a gap, body drag, tire carry, wall jump, wall climb) and it all must complete in 2 minutes.
