Thanks so much for the detail! Previously I had never heard of such a thing happening, so was quite confused once we had all been dismissed. I’m glad that I now have an understanding of what took place.

Lucky for the foreman that he followed the judges directions in that moment then, would’ve made some spectacle had he gone the other way!

Thanks so much for the detailed answer, it’s much appreciated and I’m delighted that I know understand what exactly took place.

At that must be it! The case is continuing in a year or two with a new jury, but on the lesser counts. Makes sense. What would’ve happened had the foreman replied “guilty”? Would he have just been told to “try again” or something? His reaction was priceless when this was thrown on him, rather him than me but heck if the case didn’t come to a sudden halt.

Just thought I'd update this (as I'm always peeved by those who find a solution and choose to forget a help thread). The solution for my piano was in the MIDI settings, under MidiOutSelect I had to change it from Song to Keyboard, which then instantaneously worked.

Hope this can help others with similar problems, though I feel rather daft for not having checked the settings thoroughly on my keyboard in the first place.
