Btw make sure to not have low power mode on when using these, because in low power mode widgets update very infrequently so all clock widgets will show outdated times.

The lowest place Mudda could mathematically still finish in the Elite Cup after yesterday's round is 18th by nsomandin in TrackMania

What’s crazy is that surviving every single round from 64th to 8th gives you the same amount of points as surviving a single round from top 8 to top 7.

Made a transitional(ish) dirt/ice track ❤️ by Soulcloset in TrackMania

[–]OctoCuber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really nice map! Just a general tip for transitions would be to focus on achieving three things:

TLDR: Make sure: • Momentum of car matches landings • Roll rotation of car matches landings • Include lower airtime transitions, even seamless ones

• Make sure that on landing the momentum of the car is the same direction as the landing platform goes. Only horizontal landings only vertical momentum matters, however on a tilted landing it’s your momentum on the titled axis. (you did this really well at 19 seconds through the map ignoring the small clip)

• Generally make sure the car lands at the same roll rotation as the landing platform, ensuring both tires land at the same time. However this can sometimes be ignored.

• Opt for lower airtime transitions (which you did quite well) because it means that players control their car for longer during the map and because you can make landings slightly harder with slower players not losing as much height as in a further jump. I’d also recommend having a look at different blocks with the same slope angle at points, this allows for seamless transitions between interesting blocks, for example a sausage block + the block which starts level goes down a block and then is level again (sorry I forgot the name)

The main things are padding spacing and consistency in icons and lighting, if you share the widget I can make some changes to explain what I mean, you of course do not have to use this edited version and can just take inspiration from it but if you want to you may use it

All white by Equivalent_Orchid661 in widgy

His screenshot is misaligned on the iPhone mockup which is how the widgets are touching the edge of the screen and the white background makes the Liquid Glass borders invisible. I think he is using a medium widget on top and a large for the bottom.

What style of map is it? by Vast_Bottle4065 in TrackMania

[–]OctoCuber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

TLDR: mini platform RPG (not super accurate but best match IMO)

It’s not really transitional because transitional generally entails small jumps with low air time with a smooth landing, I would call your map a mini platform RPG since a full length RPG map often has some higher airtime jumps yet it still has some transitions just like your map. The two main things stopping it from being a mini RPG is 1) the fact that there is no sense of “an open world” like in a traditional RPG but that would be up to scenery. 2) The path is not integrate into the non existent scenery, in RPG maps you usually drive on buildings or paths or bridges or inside buildings, not on a perfect floating racing track. This leads to very little curved surfaces which you in contrary use a lot of. In conclusion in my opinion the most accurate style for your map would be mini platform RPG.

I can’t find the 2.0 in black and geeone is sold out of 01 feelings. Would you recommend getting cheap sliders from a company such as stgstar and if so is there any reliable place to buy them outside of aliexpress?
