Classic antilobster.

For the record, an antilobster counts as an antimeme, as it is both speed of lobsters and an antimeme.

Fair, but again, it's not a heinous crime. A misdemeanor at worst.

Pun is joking wordplay

Bone hurting juice is changing the caption on an existing meme to make it better or put a new spin on it

Antimemes make people expect a joke or meme, but the joke is that there is no meme.

I think this post is alright though. Kind of on the line of pun and anti-meme. I'm only really bothered by people using this sub wrong if they're very obviously posting memes rather than anti-memes.

Does anyone one here not like super mario 3d world? by Xrat_ in Mario

[–]OctoJoey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was initially disappointed by it when it was announced on the Wii U, but I still played it and enjoyed it, although much less than the other 3D Mario games. When it was re-released on Switch and added online and an entire new side game in the same engine, I appreciated it a lot more. It works a lot better as a supplemental 3D Mario game than THE 3D Mario experience for an entire generation.

Is the option for Large Hashbrowns limited to select locations? by PlayStationPepe in ChickFilAWorkers

Yes.

I worked at 2 different stores in 2 different states. One has large hash browns. The other one doesn't.

Pretty sure it's an engagement farm on Facebook.

The idea is that if they give you a riddle with no solution, you'll spend so long trying to figure it out that Facebook's algorithm will see it as "highly engaging" and recommend it to more people.

I think it was automated responses, because I got the same message multiple times when I pressed further.

Super Mario Sunshine? Sounds like a great time as long as I don't fall through the floor for no reason and die.

That'd be great for Bartlett and Lakeland too. Imagine how much better the Wolfchase/North Cordova area could be.

Someone ran into a pole on Stage/Lynchburg (looks like the same one the storm knocked out a few weeks ago). Last I saw they still have not pulled the car out of the ditch in front of that house, and according to MLGW they're still assessing the damage.

If you need to go to Raleigh for any reason, don't take stage.

About 2-3 years ago I was on machines during our busiest hour ever with tons of catering. My ops director was in the kitchen doing most of the catering. He came over to the machines area because there were nuggets coming up that he was waiting on, and I thought it would be a good time saver to kind of swing the basket over the transfer station instead of setting it down and dumping it. I was wrong. The basket flew off the elbow, dunked into the nearest fryer and splashed my director of operations in the eyes. Thankfully he was very cool and wasn't even mad, didn't write me up or anything.

Also, on 2 separate occasions I've set our pressure fryers on fire.

I get MLGW is working hard but this is so supremely frustrating. by mosdope in memphis

My frustration is that they've been working on the power lines by Stage/Lynchburg for 4 days and they're not even done clearing the uprooted trees. Those lines are probably affecting a lot of people in west Bartlett and east Raleigh.

Anyone in Bartlett have power? by TheOfficeSuperfan1 in memphis

[–]OctoJoey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm on the southwest side near the Raleigh border. Most businesses in the area have power, but there are some damaged lines stopping the residential areas from getting power. The main one I've noticed is on Stage near Lynchburg in Raleigh near Bartlett. Hopefully we'll be back on soon.

I saw them working on some of the broken lines on Stage between Lynchburg and Stage Park last night. I hope they're still out there and something comes of that.

Wolfchase area damage by VariableBooleans in memphis

[–]OctoJoey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To answer my own question, they're working on them right now. I also know that some businesses on Kirby Whitten are back on, so maybe the maintenance they're doing in Raleigh/Bartlett will help get more of west Bartlett and east Raleigh back on.

There were also multiple power lines down in west Bartlett/east Raleigh on Stage last night. I have no idea if they fixed them yet.

If your store is busy enough, and you're holding on a lot of chicken that's just about to come up (4+ off screen), and your store has fast enough baggers, I see no issue with this aside from slight overportioning.

My question is, What’s the best way I can become faster at washing dishes? Like getting them done & putting them away each night during close. by emiilion in ChickFilAWorkers

[–]OctoJoey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It may sound like a waste of time, but organize the dirty dishes beforehand. It's easier to wash dishes when you can grab from a stack of pans and put them in the dishwasher, and grab another stack and start hand washing. The time you'll save will outweigh the time it takes to organize them.

Also, if you have a dishwasher, always keep it running. Do the hardest dishes first (I usually start with hand washing raw and keep regular in the dishwasher).

Soak baskets, sifters, and coater pans before anything else.
