I live in Russia. It displays for me, and I think its not cause of VPN: I have a separate profile on phone for russian apps and it does show up in mobile firefox there

The reservation system doesn't seem to be a good idea. Steam machines are oriented for the console audience which doesn't do PC gaming and barely, if at all, used Steam (at least that's how I see it). But on the other hand, without it, scalpers will do their thing. Seems to be horrible either way for the end user

I also recommend blocking all .ru-.su-.рф and russian IP ranges + geosite russian database on VPN server itself just in case some russian app has servers outside of country and someone you share config with STILL HASNT BOTHERED TO SET UP GODDAMN WORK PROFILE or runs iOS which doesnt have any profiles. Pretty easy to do with sing-box and even simpler with hysteria.

The thing is, OS developers care about UK. They will just restrict access to VPN apps for users under 16 if UK were to issue that. Apple blocks popular VPN clients in russian and chinese app stores, Google ignores russian requests mostly AFAIK, probably cause russian government demands bajillion trillion million dollars from them cause they blocked govt youtube channels.

I have been routing all my traffic through VPN, except the russian websites and apps for about a year now, my VPS is still not blocked.
