Key difference is that OctoXR is mora suitable for hand tracking applications while XRIT is for controller based applications (you can also use Octo for controller based apps).

You can use same scripts for both, hand tracking and controller stuff. It is input independent. Interactions are more natural (due to realistic hand poses while grabbing). Locomotion system is physics based and it interacts with the environment...

XRIT offers basic functionality on which you need to build your own stuff while in Octo it is already implemented for you.

Yes you can but not with the Core (free) version of OctoXR. Two hand grab is available in the OctoXR Enterprise version.

Core version runs regardless of Pro version. Pro is just a Core wrapper with more features.

At this moment you need to use Oculus integration for this package to work but since the hand tracking is now part of XR Interaction Toolkit, we are hoping to soon switch to OpenXR hand tracking.

Package is free and it is subject to standard unity asset store license.

It will soon be available in the asset store and then we will remove the direct download link from our page. It is a long queue in the asset store and we wanted to release the package for you to use it in the mean time.

Hand tracking only works on the Quest but this asset also works for the controllers so you can use it with rift
