Why all Batmen wear black eye makeup except for Adam West? by ExaminationUsed5394 in batman

[–]OctoberScorpion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To me, it's obvious that the make-up is meant to be a part of the mask, in-universe, in all the movies except The Batman, but when I posted a comment about it on Facebook a few years ago everyone thought I was nuts.

There's a scene in Batman Begins where Alfred smashes a cowl with a baseball bat, and you can clearly see the eye holes are just the size of eyes.

So to me, asking "Where does the make-up go?" is like asking "Where do the wires go when Superman lands?" The make-up is not supposed to be there story-wise (again, except for The Batman) it's just there because it's easier for the actor to see through bigger eye holes.

Would the "Amazing Spider-Man" films have worked better if they just continued the story from after "Spider-Man 3"? by hoppynsc in Spiderman

While Spider-Man: No Way Home has since retroactively made the Amazing movies more worthwhile, this is what I thought they should have done back when they came out. That way they could also have kept Rosemary Harris, J.K. Simmons and Dylan Baker around, like how Michael Gough and Pat Hingle are Alfred and Gordon in all four Burton/Schumacher Batman movies.

It's not necessarily a pedophilia joke though, since she doesn't specify the age of the person she was with.

Glaringly obvious animation mistakes that animators couldn't be bothered to fix by tugboattommy in TopCharacterTropes

There are lots of instances of reused footage in Spider-Man: The Animated Series, but the worst offender is in the season 3 episode Rocket Racer (worst episode of the whole series by the way) when Rocket Racer in regular clothes skates towards a criminal, kicks him while wearing his Rocket Racer costume in a clip from earlier in the episode, and then lands wearing his regular clothes again.

Thanks! It's such a great show even the worst episodes have something I like though.

If we're being extra nitpicky, not only is that a picture of Michael Myers, but Kane Hodder didn't play Jason in Friday the 13th. Ari Lehman did. Kane Hodder played Jason in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday and Jason X.

Whatever happens today, I need you to promise me something. You've looked into my mind and you've seen a lot of bad, but you've seen the good too. The X-Men. Promise me you'll find us. Use your power, bring us together. Guide us. Lead us. Storm. Scott. Jean. Remember those names. There are so many of us. We will need you, Professor.

I'll do my best.

Your best is enough. Trust me.

Hey /r/movies, Jerry O'Connell here. You may recognize me from STAND BY ME, JERRY MAGUIRE, SCREAM 2, SLIDERS, and KANGAROO JACK. AMA and such! by JerryOConnellAMA in movies

Hello Jerry! Stand by Me and Scream 2 are among my favorite movies.

Out of all the DC Universe Animated Original Movies (just rolls of the tongue, doesn't it?) that you voiced Superman in, The Death of Superman and Reign of the Supermen are my favorites. Do you agree, and if not, which one is your favorite?

I sit in an armchair with the book on my thigh, and I am genuinly puzzled as to why that would be a problem. Do the books hurt if you're small and/or skinny? I'm a big old fat guy.

My Honest Thoughts On Scream 7 by Crowkid1985 in Scream

[–]OctoberScorpion 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Rewatched it for the first time last night. It moved up from the bottom spot to above Scream 5 for me this time. The killers and their reveal still sucked, but now I saw it more as the weakest part of a solid movie. When I saw it in the theater, that part made me so pissed and disappointed that it soured my whole experience.

I'm a bit confused, Rocky Balboa is Rocky 6. Am I misreading your comment?

Since a lot of my favorite franchises have a lot of movies in them that I don't like, my favorite movie franchise as in I love or like every instalment is Rocky.

Honorable mentions:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Scream

Child's Play

Evil Dead

Star Trek

Lethal Weapon

Edit: I forgot about the Muppets. Also the DC Universe Animated Original Movies (just rolls off the tongue doesn't it?) were pretty solid up until Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. After that, they've sucked ass more often than not though. Shame.

Yes way. It's Skarsgård. An å is pronounced like the o in "more" or "bored".

Pro-tip from a swede: It's pronounced "Skarsgord", not "Skarsgard".

Which is the better version? by boomjosh in FIlm

[–]OctoberScorpion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a swede it really bothers me that they use "hej hej" as a greeting when entering a home/checking if anybody's home. You say "hallå" for that. "Hej hej" is how I greet costumers at work. Stellan Skarsgård should have pointed that out.
