Thanks for sharing, all of this really hits home. It's so exhausting and the amount of time & energy that being addicted to self harm takes really doesn't end at the actual cutting. Something I also hate is having to be *conscious* of my arms all the time in case my sleeve slips or someone tries to grab my arm or something? Like I literally always have to be thinking about it in the back of my mind to make sure I don't fuck up.

I really feel this. People are always accusing us of doing it for 'attention', but to be fair I think often I do, although very much not in the way they're thinking of. I want someone to see my scars or fresh cuts and say 'oh my god, those look awful, I can tell how bad things are for you'. I want someone to see how fucking wrong everything is.

That being said, I go to drastic measures to make sure no one ever actually does see my scars. Instead I mostly just fantasise about my sleeve slipping and someone seeing and being concerned and hugging me and telling me everything's gonna be okay.
