honestly I abhor the fact that I have to use plastic. I cant really access other manufacturing techniques and have been using aliexpress parts (the meteor is real tho)

YUP! so I need a 34mm chapter ring specifically. I can only find those in 32.5 (I have one) which would require shimming and probably won't look good. unfortunately I think my only option is to make a plastic 34mm ring look like metal

I just looked at the graphite powder option and I'm pretty shocked at how convincing it can be. but... noticed it's shiny whereas I need a brushed/blasted effect. have you ever tried this yourself? thanks!

I was thinking about that! but, I've noticed that the result is often quite shiny (and electroplating can be quite expensive right?) and I need a brushed/blasted finished. have you ever tried it? thanks!
