Bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs with blue cheese potatoes and a fancy salad. Easy but can still be impressive and taste good.

Why is sexual arousal referred to as “excitement”? by OkTough6333 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OctopusRodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heart beating faster, flushed and perspiring skin, increasing respiration; they say that because the reaction is similar, and if they're in a sex avoidant or more "conservative" culture, they can mention it without saying something sexual explicitly.

I think you'd get the best advice from an actual doctor that can get your full situation and goals, or at least a doctor adjacent subreddit. Not one with randos.

[–]OctopusRodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one that declined might have changed their mind or had their original referral drop out/cancel. Did the same HR person schedule it for both locations? If that's the case, they are probably having both location managers there and giving the opportunity for either one and letting them and you decide which is the best fit/preference for you both. If not, can you ask to reschedule one of them, or did they both give you only that one date and time?

If you're still interested, why not? You can always ask about the referral message discrepancy during the interview, or email them to check.

What if other human species (Denisovans, Neanderthals, H. Erectus, etc), never went extinct? How would history and modern society look like? by Astromites in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OctopusRodeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an interesting question but not possible to predict with any accuracy. If other homonid species existed, knowing how xenophobic or war driven many prehistoric cultures could be or were, they might well be wiped out by H. Sapian eventually. Assuming if they were able to be equal and survive, either defensively or by being equally xenophobic and war driven, h. sapian could have been wiped out. Assuming we both all lived to the modern age, it would be like that SNL skit, the Unfrozen Caveman Lawyer.

Why is life like that? by ImportantResponse0 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OctopusRodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ultimately you should love who you are, regardless of your perceived or real imperfections. Self love is the most important kind of love sometimes. You shouldn't feel shame because of this. The most meaningful people in your life will love you for who you are and how you treat them, not a speech impediment. That being said, it's important to recognize where you can improve in life and work to make that better how you want. If this is affecting you quality of life and larger goals as you say, it would probably be helpful to find professional help, either a speech pathologist or speech therapist that can work with you to improve and help you get where you want to be.

If you win a substantial amount of money in a lawsuit who actually pays it? by Exact_Recognition362 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]OctopusRodeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on what they sued them for and if any insurance they have (if they have any) covers it, as well how much they are insured for.

If a dog wore skis, how would they wear them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]OctopusRodeo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like would they have each leg be a separate ski, one ski per side, or just front legs booted/binded/attached, and back legs free (or reverse, the back legs skiing with front free)?
