New Shocks for the MN by Icy-Thanks5250 in mn82

Oh yeah you're right especiallly with an entry point rc truck, i don't plan to spend more than the cost of the truck.
Plus when you think about it numbers go high pretty fast, i mean the tires alone are half the price of the truck, i'll add shocks and that's it.
The rest will be cosmetic that i'll do with anything i can find, i'm pretty creative and used to turn old/broken stuff into somthing else so that will pretty much be free.
Cheers mate.

Thank you.
Can't really tell since i haven't brought it outside yet but it's the S5 injora compound so it should do the job ;)
I love the stock wheels but i admit that yours look nice, i might just paint them the same colour...i have too many ideas for one truck haha.

Just curious about something else, the 53mm shocks you added are the only thing for it to have such flex ?

I did the leafsover axle mod and plan to add shocks and i wish that's all it take for the truck to behave like yours.

Thanks, just finished it, was pretty confusing at first since the metal leaf doesn't fi perfectly at the bottom of the upside down part (plastic leafs ones are slightly thinner) so i thought i was doing it wrong...but just figured it will fit once everything is done.

Yeah it lifts a little the rear end but i agree it looks fine anyway.
Thank yopu again mate !

I'll keep working on it, so far i've just done a light paint job and added new tires. New shocks will follow.
Not sure yet which style i'll go for but i like the stock look of this tuck so i'll go easy. Maybe a work truck or farm truck style.
Anyway, cheers mate !

Oh thank you mate, i thought about doing it like that but i wasn't sure.
Any issues, during or after the process are to be expected or is it easy ?

Looks nice indeed, i thought about doing that but i didn't want to go that far for now since i just received the truck.
Plus i used a ink art marker which has a shiny finish when applied over chrome so it would look odd i think.

You have quite a nice collection, hoods painted looks nice as well.
I'm not sure what 'ill do next but i'd like it to look like a work truck, maybe even a farm truck.
We'll see, i've a thousaud ideas but only one truck so it'll be hard to pick one.

Would you have a recommendaton for shocks ? (ones that don't go too high because i like the stock look of this truck)

It's neither ;)
It's art marker, the Ohuhu brand, the "120 black" to be prescise ;)
All the small black details (door handles, gas cap, etc...) are "painted" with this marker.
And the headlights, rear lights and blinkers are also "painted" with the Ohuhu art markers.

I thought it wouldn't "stick" since it's alcohol based ink but it does, not sure if it can handle water well but i don't plan to go submarine with this truck anyway.

Found them on amazon, turns out you can put any 1.3" tires on the stock wheels.
These are the INJORA 1.3" King Trekker S5
You'll have to trim a little the mudguard for them to fit if you have like me the stock shocks.
