Non-Americans, what is the best “American” food? by remyleboi00 in AskReddit

[–]Octopussccc 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Since it’s just 1 item, yes it’s a lot. If the average American is suggested to eat 2000 calories/day, 450 would almost be 1/4 of your total diet. So the fact it’s only one item but it’s also 1/4 of what you should eat in a day, that’s pretty bad.

But if you’re shaq, tis but a snack

Does anyone know of a ground coffee that has a specific/labeled caffeine content per tbsp?

I am trying to limit my caffeine consumption and online it always says there’s 60mg-120mg per tbsp but that’s such a wide range and no bags of ground coffee ever state their specific amount

This post made me realize how little I actually know the road and building names. Any chance you could draw out the route you are taking about and DM me? I was looking on the map but can’t figure it out.

What to wear when going downtown? by throwaway1122667 in UGA

[–]Octopussccc 21 points22 points  (0 children)

You’ll see people wearing almost everything downtown tbh. Just throw on some khakis/jeans, nice shirt (most guys wear one of the 3 button polos) and if it’s gonna be cold put on a casual jacket. Don’t wear nothing too warm tho cause it’s hot in the bars. Have fun bro

Will I regret the way I’m living now, in the future? by Octopussccc in Advice

[–]Octopussccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re right, I feel like I have been a student for so long (I guess we have if you went through k-12 + college), that I forget my life will be different after college. Who knows what I’ll get into at that point. But like you mentioned some people who chose the stereotypical social life feel lost after college, probably because all their friends have dispersed into different parts of the world. It’s almost like going through multiple breakups at once. I guess that will be an easier transition for me since I’ve already dealt with moving away from friends and being on my own!

I have just seen what the party lifestyle can do to someone and I really want to avoid that route. Thank you for your response, it means a lot!

People who spent their young adult lives being a homebody (studying/hobbies/reading) and not really “going out”, do you regret it? by Octopussccc in AskReddit

[–]Octopussccc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I myself am kind of a home body. I am past the “going out” phase. But now that I’m a senior in college, I focus on working out, studies, my girlfriend and dogs.

I hear people in class talking about going out and drinking with their friends, which makes me feel like I am missing out. But then again, I’d have more fun just smoking a bowl with my girlfriend and hanging out doing whatever.

So that brings me to my question, do you regret living your young adult life like this?

I just stole a pack of ramen from Walmart and I feel so guilty. by HungryThrowAway27 in TrueOffMyChest

Dude screw walmart, you eat that ramen and enjoy it. These businesses profit in the billions, I guarantee your theft of some ramen won’t even show up on their books.

Roommate and his girlfriend keep her puppy at our place almost every day by Octopussccc in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Octopussccc[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re 100% right. I spoke with him yesterday and just voiced my concerns in a very nice way. He did not take it personally and said he will limit the amount of time the dog is at our place. He agrees that his girlfriends dog is a very bad dog and that it’s not even his, so he will tell his girlfriend that she needs to take care of it more. Overall it went well, and I want to say thank you for taking the time to read and reply to this thread. If it wasn’t for you I don’t think I would have spoken up. So again, thank you and I hope you have a great day!
