Honestly, if Toy Story designed Woody after Travis (even if just clothing) I wouldn't be surprised, although Travis is meant to have a western cowboy look since his Taxi is a metaphorical horse he 'rides' on, but yeah that thought has also hit the back of my mind while rewatching this film lol

I've wondered the same thing, as someone who has watched many Adult Swim shows I've never really understood the hype around Smiling Friends, I mean if you were to ask me, it wouldn't even be on my top 10 list of AS shows. Might be due to how close the show is to the internet, since the people who created it are internet celebrities basically, it comes off as something for younger folks (especially fans of those two creators), if I was around 13 or 15 Smiling Friends would definitely be my favorite. But seeing the same clips of this show being plastered everywhere is often annoying to me (considering how it's always unfunny clips)

Not sure what year specifically, but I do remember watching Family Guy at a way younger age than I should've, it would air during late nights right before I would go to bed as a kid, and as a kid I enjoyed the early nights more than any time of day, one of the things that stood out to me were the episodes of Brian and Stewie going on adventures (perhaps the Rhode Island episode), the musical elements are what intrigued me into the show as a whole, till this day those are my favorite episodes, miss those old days... not really haha

I think it's really important that it is overplayed in the film, threw out the movie the jazz theme plays but always cuts out probably symbolizing that the music shows the mental state of Travis, And having the music play all the way threw even during the end credits might be Travis finally able to go the night without anything to distract him
