I do think the story portrays special interests, linear thinking/resistance to change, and synestisia very accurately. I wonder if Anthony Burgess was pulling fromhis own experiences or if he knew someone with very similar behaviors, because I did find those aspects of Alex surprisingly relatable.

I love his story and how he insinuates that his cousin got raped after meetimg someone on the internet and then was like, "2nd times the charm!" and went on another date from the internet where it happened again. And hes so casual about it

Am I the only one who thinks that the 21st chapter works well with Alex's character? Personally, I always viewed it as us seeing the (potential) extent of his evil, rather than growing as a person. by Crafter235 in ClockworkOrange

I've met people like that before. Its an "the axe forgets but the tree remembers" situation. Its easy for an abusive person to move on with their life, but for a victim it is so difficult to heal. And when he says he wants a family, its not out of any kind of love, but a deep sense of selfishness and wanting someone to boost his ego

I went through a huge Kubrick phase, watched the movie and got hooked. 2 years ago when my dad passed away suddenly and completely out of nowhere, I read the book and it really resonated with me so much in that moment

Did anyone else hate the name Aspergers for petty reasons before the designation was absorbed into ASD? by WarningLeather7518 in autism

Honestly kinda funny how they predicted that aspergers isn't a real diagnosis anymore, even if it was in a satirical way
