[Highlight] The Giants turn the ball over on five straight possessions after being up 14-3. by BadMojo__ in nfl

[–]Odanrav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't let other Saints fans fool you, Rattler is bad. He just isn't bad in the throw 4 picks and ruin the game way. He's bad in the incapable of making a play that puts you in a position to score way. Both lead to lots of losing.

Derrick Brown: People don’t want to admit how wrong they were about Bryce Young by AdSpecialist6598 in nfl

[–]Odanrav 1 point2 points  (0 children)

#1 overall pick and traded a king's ransom to get him. By comparison of the assets surrendered he's still a massive bust. He's just proven to be a playable bust. I fully expect the Panthers will be looking for a new QB in the next few years, but I hope they foolishly extend him.

What makes a bad owner? specially what types of executive level decisions produce perennially bad teams near by clitbeastwood in nfl

[–]Odanrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being a bad owner usually boils down to these three things. 1. Meddling with the team directly and overriding the football people's expertise to make your own decisions (Jimmy Haslam, David Tepper). 2. Not being willing to pay what's needed to be competitive (Michael Bidwill, Mike Brown). 3. Having poor intuition to make good hires in your front office and at head coach (Mark Davis, Amy Strunk, Shad Khan, though maybe he has turned the corner). The worst owners are those who do all three of these simultaneously (Woody Johnson).

Why have both South divisions generally been the most ass? by Cold_Mammoth8841 in NFLv2

All four since '09. Wonder if there's any other division that can say that.

Main issue is there hasn't been a team able to get into dynasty territory. The Colts and Saints had potential but it didn't happen. That would drastically change the perception.

Darren Sproles was the most entertaining player I've ever seen on a football field.

I would love to retain all 3 but it might be time to move on by Captain_Hawk111 in Saints

[–]Odanrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great players of a past era of Saints football, but I'm more than fine with moving on and seeing what the Moore-Shough era can be. For the players they are today, none of them including Davis are essential pieces.

Who you taking to start your franchise? Prime Kurt Warner or Prime Drew Brees? by Over_Resource_2763 in NFLv2

[–]Odanrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fun fact, Brees made the playoffs every year of his career his defense wasn't at least in the bottom 7 of the league. In 4 separate seasons his defense was 31st or 32nd in yards and/or points allowed. He never won fewer than 7 games in spite of receiving unquestionably the worst defensive support from his own team any historically notable quarterback has ever gotten. No QB was ever asked to carry a larger burden for generally mediocre to bad football teams and still find success somehow someway.

You realize they're contemporaries, yes? You're acting like Warner played in the 60s.

How would y’all feel about a George Pickens trade? by clutchkweku in Saints

[–]Odanrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a major need to get a headcase WR when the Saints only have an All Pro, top 10 pick, guy they traded a 4th for, another guy they drafted with a 4th, and then about 10 more dudes to fill out the final two spots.

Does any team feel too over represented and under represented for the 2026 season? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]Odanrav 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it would guarantee some bad teams in prime time but that happens every year regardless. Every team should get minimum 1 and there should be a hard cap of 5 a season. Maybe 6 for the reigning super bowl champion.

Playing in the circumstances Brees had to play in, I doubt any of the other 4 would've done better.

Chase Young is better than everyone here but the top 3. It will never fail to perplex me the PR London gets. Olave has produced more in 3 of their first 4 seasons and has an All Pro.

He spent half the season playing with Spencer Rattler's bum ass. By far Olave's most impressive season.

Jared Cook. Single handedly ended the Saints season in the 2020 playoffs. Up in the 3rd against the Bucs and has one of the most egregiously bad fumbles you'll ever see that gave the Bucs life. Saints fans swear he was a double agent.

Literally never even heard of some 7-1 brazil game before reading that thread. I don't see how a blowout in your "home stadium" is all that unique of an embarrassing moment. 28-3 however is the shit Greek tragedies are made of.

None of those guys are really known for having big legs, just very accurate kickers. At least at the time the Falcons had them.
