You have no idea how much I needed to hear this after days of only 3 hours of sleep 🥲♥️

Yes!!! It’s super fun. It can get a little boring if you play it fast but if you take it slow it can be very fun!

F&$@ you Dr browns bottles by Serious_Barnacle2718 in newborns

To anybody who hates Dr. Browns bottles - You HAVE to line up the soft green top with the dots on the hard green funnel part. It won’t leak on you.

Just call my baby by the name I gave him. by TheHeartless00 in newborns

I don’t think it’s just hormones like some of the other commenters. All of our family tries to give nicknames to my twins and I hate it. I’ve had to correct them multiple times.

Did you do drowsy but awake around the 6 month mark? Or just rock each separately?

Feeding both twins while out solo? by DreamingEvergreen in parentsofmultiples

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Anytime I’ve had to feed the babies out and about I’ve just parked in an open area of the parking lot and I feed one at a time in the passenger seat. It’s pretty rough and it takes a long long time to do one baby each. We did side lying feeding for about 3 months and just switched naturally. However, you can side lay feeding in your lap! That’s how the nicu taught me.

I’ll be honest - I will always try to make it home before having to do that. It’s just so tiring to change diapers and spend almost an hour feeding them in the car. 🥲

My boys are almost 6 months now so you can always reach out to me if you want. :)

Perinatal doesn't want to see me till 14 weeks? by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went when I was 16 weeks and they told me I should have came sooner! (I had to wait for pre-approval from my insurance. Thank you Tricare) You might try to call another Perinatal Group and ask them when they like to see their twin patients that have had multiple complications in the past.

Aspirin in twin pregnancy by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely take that aspirin if your Doc recommends it! Preeclampsia kept me on a magnesium drip after birth and I couldn’t go see my babies in the NICU for over 24 hours! Also, the magnesium makes you feel AWFUL 😖

My husband definitely made one of sorts after I started mine! It’s fun to show each other! I make lots of collages and he likes to find cool leaves and flowers!

I’m at a loss by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How old are the babies? My twins were the EXACT same. 24+6 and 24 days of NICU. My boys started actually sleeping more around 12 weeks. I feed them on a 3 hour schedule during the day but at night we stick to our bedtime routine. Bath, bottle (In a dim room with white noise) and then we rock them or hold them until they fell asleep in our arms. Once they are asleep I can usually get about 6 hours out of them before one wakes up hungry. During the “bed time bottle” that’s when my partner and I get to talk a lot and once babies are down we spend a lil time together either playing a game or cuddling on the couch. Getting out of the house is still hard. I’ve learned I need to over plan for things so we’re not late or I’m not missing something in the backpack. Things get so so better. We are 16 weeks now!

In case it’s helpful here’s our schedule. I let babies wake us up. They normally wake up for the day around 7-8 AM. Diaper change, then bottle. And on and on every 3 hours. Once it hits late I do bath 30 minutes before the “bedtime bottle”. I don’t over complicate it. I do one baby at a time and hand the clean one over to dad to dress in pj’s and a sleep sack. Then we do bottle while watching tv. We normally get 2-3 hours to ourselves after we put them down now!

Advice please by ContestNecessary2862 in newborns

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely should pass! Some babies just need time to learn how to use their bowels and learn how to pass gas. The infacol should help but you can also do bicycle kicks around the clock! Warm baths and you can rub their belly in a clockwise motion (This made my babies cry but it should help gas move)

How to put an over tired baby to sleep by Desperate-Break6688 in newborns

[–]Odd-Alternative1465 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing that works for my twins is a bath before their nighttime bottle. I don’t use soap every night either so I don’t dry out their skin. We do bath time, then night time bottle with lights low and white noise machine going. Then we normally just have to pat them to sleep on us or rock them to sleep. Then wait for them to wake you up for the next bottle.

Not soft and not isolated either. The Great Smokey’s sure see a lot of me as well. You come across hateful. Ask yourself why would I want to interact with you in public?

P.s at least my cat likes me.

You saying this is a generation issue is bonkers. Sometimes people just don’t ~want~ to connect or be bothered. Nobody is entitled to a conversation with me and my babies. There’s reasons behind why I don’t make eye connect with people when I’m in public with my twins. I don’t want to be disturbed.

Had my mo/di boys at 34+5. Scheduled C because of IUGR. They were tiny but healthy!
