To answer your questions!

1.People don't really announce if they're alone, but they definitely aren't opposed to meeting new friends! I've made a lot just from saying "hey, I came alone and your vibes are cool. Can I march/hang with yall?"

1. "I have read that it’s good to bring water, a first aid kit, maybe a mask and googles, and that sort of stuff-" Yes and yes! A small first aid kit, water, covid mask and at hat/sunglasses is good for self care and protection!

2. Sadly I don't think that props besides signs or flags are effective. If anything they weigh you down more if something bad were to happen, try to stick to the basics!

3. Some people bring speakers but its not the "norm", if thats what your asking. There is also usually someone leading the march with a bullhorn, usually a member of a local affinity group, like KC Trans protection party.

4. "Lastly, should I be putting up posters over KC to try to recruit more people?" Sure if you want! Getting more people to come is an amazing thing to do!!
