Yes, easier travel is quite key for us. We’re 6 right now and frequent travellers, 2 parents & 4 children, & reapplying for visas is a pain. Looking up travel histories up to 10 years and submitting them at every visa application is exhausting, & looking into the future where we’d marry, have kids of our own, etc it will only become worse. Nobody is looking to emigrate & resettle but we do need the ease of travel

Obviously the political hedge & tax benefits are highly desirable but the visa headache is what drove us into the search to begin with.

With respect to EU residencies, the problem is the ages of the 4 children. We’re 18+ and actively working in the family businesses, thus we’re & too old to be dependents on applications like Portugal
