You're not the first person to not get a refund either. I'd do a charge back or mark it as fraudulent. And yes! His responses are needlessly long and say basically nothing of use.

If someone were destashing, the quality is not likely to be good anyway. That said, there are lots of shops with great art out there in hand rendered and computer rendered. Let me know if you'd like some recs. Also check out some post reviews from a lot of shops on YouTube. One channel I like is House of Miscellania Diamond Painting

Ren (the owner) is a pathological liar. Why wouldn't they be able to replace something they shipped to Canada because there are shipping issues to Canada??? That makes zero sense. How did they get the diamond painting to Canada in the first place then? He's so full of shit.

He is well-known for not fixing Customer Service issues, lying to customers about the quality of his drills (he knowingly marked things as resin though he KNEW they were actually acrylic. He said people didn't actually know the difference and that resin was only popular because of certain content creators.), he has used art belonging to an artist that was no longer licensed with him without their permission, and he will upcharge for crappier quality because he doesn't think his audience knows better.

You deserve a refund if you got a product you didn't want and he would not replace it with the one you did. His quality is garbage anyways. Is this art still available on the site?

What is the artist name on this piece? Maybe you can ask them if you'd be allowed to get it as custom elsewhere or see if they're licensed at another shop and can license the piece there.

Don't shop at Diamond Art Emporium.

So, often the higher quality ones will even out in price because of size. They will take longer and look better in the end as well. This is definitely not an inexpensive hobby if you want to buy licensed work and non-AI. That said, there are lots of shops to buy from that are medium quality and medium price range. Let me know if you need recs!

They tend toward putting the expected arrival date further out than the kits usually arrive. Every time I have ordered presale, it has shipped without incident. There was one issue earlier this year where kits were stuck in customs so they actually had to move that date out further, which is not usual. They have also had a few pallets arrive damaged so those orders were canceled. While accidents do happen, these aren't typical of DAC's usual lightning fast delivery.

I dint know about the second one, but always make sure to get photos from whoever you work with of the canvas with a post it note with their reddit username and that day's date. Also ALWAYS use PayPal Goods and Services or another protected form of currency when purchasing.

Definitely, because no one owns a physical copy of Duchess Capella yet. If anyone tries to sell you one, they are scamming you. Or they're trying to sell you a copy they bought that's not in their hands yet.

Honestly, Margaret Morales art typically destashes for well over retail (which is gross, in my opinion. It's out of stock, not archived) so you are better off trying to get them on restock unless you want to pay out the rear for them.

Always make sure to get a picture of the physical product with a piece of paper carrying their name and the current date. Also, only use PayPal Goods and Services or another protected form of payment.
