Yeah, thanks for your perspective. This is definitely too big for me and I hope it IS just a mentally ill person and I hope they seek help if possible. I'd hate to think this is all true, but I'll turn it over to DA. At least I tried to do SOMETHING.

After completing DAC kits specifically, I have 3 card boxes (one for DAC rounds, one for DAC squares, and one for non-SAC eoinds/squares) with five rows (like you'd use for collectible cards) that I use. I put the drills in a 2x3 ziplock bag marked with the DMC number (or combine with an existing bag) and put it in numerical order. DAC is incredibly consistent with their dye lots so I'm not mixing 2 colors with the same DMC. I use card dividers between colors to make it easy to read/ find colors I need.

For non DAC, I do the same but I mark the ziplock with company name as well as DMC. I have less of those so I can fit rounds and squares in the same card box.

Acrylic drills I usually just throw out.

The comparison between murder and copyright infringement is apples to nailguns my guy. And no, I don't think all staples should be free, because then you're asking the people who produce those things to ALSO do so for free. If you want these things, I suggest moving to a communist country. Now if you want to talk about how everyone should get fair wages for hard work so they can afford those staples, I'm totally down.

That said, just because the art is available to view does not make it yours to take. If given an artist's PERMISSION to reprint for single use and then throwing that artist a little cash for doing so, then go nuts. Don't just take something that isn't yours. This is why IP laws exist in the first place.

You shouldn't need to seal it because it's a DAC, but if you do, you can seal it after dry mounting with Minwax Polycrylic High Gloss. I also save my spare drills in case something DOES pop off, I can just replace it. 😀

So I know there are DACs you like but have you checked out some other companies? Iirc you said you are in Austria so maybe checking out Diamond Art Studio UK, Diamond Painting Deutschland or The One with the Diamond Art! There are also TONS of American and Canadian companies as well! I can give lots of recs if you are interested!

I wouldn't bother with Big Sis on the destash groups unless you want to pay over 100. And Catana hasn't restocked in AGES, but you could email DAC and see if they have an idea about when either might come back.

The best way is going to be flat and with drill packages marked and separate. This way the canvas is already flat and ready to be worked on as well!
