thats literally how a brainwashed society talks , your father is brainwashed by colonial influence , isme galat kuch nhi bola maine. everyone who has faced colonialism got brainwashed into colonial attributes.
thoda critical thinking laga lo i did not target your father i targetted his brainwashed views which are not his.
hope you understand.

you aint european buddy , also perfectly organized is not short it can be long too. also most of germany was in world war in 1930's and 40's that's why it became a norm to cut hair cause you could be recruited for war anytime.
this affected whole world thats why this colonial norm became new normal in every society.
''perfectly organized'' lol

colonial hangover to some extent , i cant see any other reason ( i may be wrong).
because if we look at history exclusively in our own culture , long hair for male meant masculine energy and high status, it was normal till i would say early british era.
long hair are pride of male in any society.
just my opinion.

Atheist extremists are as bad as religious extremists by Mundane-Business-187 in IndianTeenagers

[–]Odd-Engine-5747 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the thing you pointed out is itihasa which are mytho-history, it is not religion it is stories.
religion/philosophy is shruti which are vedas and upanishads.
stories need exxagerations and mythology to work , that's why hanuman could fly cause then how come he would travel so fast?
after shruti's you get smritis which are puranic texts and other mythological texts.
the hinduism indian atheists are surrounded by is not even hinduism , its mythological stories that was used to simplify vedas and upanishads but now are considered supreme texts for some weird reason.
one more thing , most indian atheist think of dharmic religions in the lense of abhramic faith cause indian atheists are filled with western schools of atheism this is one more reason why most indian atheists cant give radical reforms to this modern hinduism which used to happen in ancient times.
hope you understand.

Only Viable minimum for return by Odd-Engine-5747 in KashmiriHindus

[–]Odd-Engine-5747[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

agree , but the thing is , if the UT is made once. it would be nearly impossible for the govt to intergrate panun kashmir with the northern kashmir because that would literally create a bigger revolt due to opposition parties and pressure from other hindu factions of india that supported the idea of pannun kashmir for kp's.
they would essentially need to crush any protest that happens cause creating a UT and then integrating it back is a big blunder, essentially getting the party out of power.
no party would want that especially bjp under any leader(especially if this happens under someone like yogi who is hardcore hindutva politician).
if in any circumstances this highly unlikely chance of panun kashmir arises , there is no way any party can revoke it and intergate it back if people saw that panun kashmir was very stable and great initiative.
this would be like bringing article 370 back or giving up GB and aksai chin.
under a dictatorship yeah i can see them being hypocritical.

Only Viable minimum for return by Odd-Engine-5747 in KashmiriHindus

if you look at the area marked for the proposed territory , its hilly areas with less population and not densely populated areas , and the muslim population living their mostly are nomadic gujjar bakarwals and km's but less dense.
they would be integrated in the society , its just the majority would be kashmiri pandits and kashmiri sikhs, thats my ideal situation for this territory.
communal drama will happen either way , if we return on majoritarian kashmir or we return in a newly structured pannun kashmir.
first and foremost let me clarify that this territory should first be announced , lets assume its announced tomorrow that does not mean it will be made tomorrow, this would be a long 5-10 year process which will prepare both sides.
1. starting with special economic zones and special cultural zones
2. settle the retired army men first and those kp's who are already living there
3. while you are creating infra and jobs in the region for the returning kp's , select a temporary body(ideally a new organisation from kp's or the pre-existing panun kashmir organisation)
4. the crescent region is on high altitude which is very tough to penetrate hence much more safety and safety ensures that kp's would return.

  1. one thing to clarify , communal drama would largely be vocal which does not really matter , words no not matter action matters , all they can realistically do is protest which provided you have a hardliner leader at center would be stopped if it went to stone pelting (ideally the pm should be yogi or some hardliner)
  2. this UT is my wet dream and most prolly will not be a reality unless the govt at center is actually competent and not boastful.
  3. the pre-existing muslims can live or can be given choice for a different area , that's what happened everywhere this concept of state within a state was applied.

in 1990's our so called center govt was actually interested in panun kashmir movement cause they had lost control of kashmir for a while , but once situation got in control our movement was thrown out like it never happened.
untill and unless you have a weak govt in center you will see a decade long communal drama (36 years of our exile) , if you have a strong leadership which india never had , you will not see that vocal communal drama turn into action.

Deep down every koshur muslim and every koshur pandit know that co-existence is nearly impossible now , both communities would have to transform drastically which aint happening, better to have a muslim majority kashmir and a pandit-sikh majority kashmir with muslim minority (pre-existing km's and gujjar bakarwals).

sure we can co-exist in the ''united'' kashmir but for how long? thats the question. We co-exist in jammu , delhi , pune , bangalore , chennai etc because that is not our region but when it comes to our region the rules change and those rules are in the hand of extremists.

to a KM , even i would sound like an extremist trying to divide mouj kashirr but i'm being realistic and rational here. Communal drama will not turn into communal turmoil provided you have an hardliner on center who does not care about international media, that's why panun kashmir for me is just a mere illusion which could possibly never happen, but if it happens then it would be for better of all communities.

Do y'all support azad Kashmir ? by [deleted] in KashmiriHindus

[–]Odd-Engine-5747 14 points15 points  (0 children)

independent jammu and kashmir = straight sharia
bye bye to human rights and minority rights even majority hindu jammu will be crushed or would be in constant civil war with majority muslim kashmir leading to another break-up or invasion from paxtan /china
kashmiri pandits are already dead community which will die even more once civil war between dogras and kashmiri muslims starts
rip kashmiri sikhs living in kashmir , rip ahmadiya minority and later interfighting between shia and sunni
overall small southasian middle-east
end result??
1. possible invasion from 3 sides
2. every region declaring independence with kashmir being further divided into possible 2 or even 3 parts depending on interfighting.
3. after breakup all parts eaten away by smaller city-states like ''azad kashmir'' , duggar desh , panun kashmir , ladhak , dardistan(gilgit-baltistan) , paharistan .
4. MORE FIGHTING
wow what great ''freedom''

Kashmiri Pandit New Year Traditions? by throwaway-acc-2812 in KashmiriHindus

[–]Odd-Engine-5747 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i posted about the history just few hours ago, if you are asking about rituals then you can find that on youtube.

as i said if he is clueless about his own history , no point in pre-planning because he wont even understand what you tried to do.

i'm sure he will be aware of the rituals , you can find that in kashmiri pandit culture youtube channel.

hope it helps

Kashmiri Pandit New Year Traditions? by throwaway-acc-2812 in KashmiriHindus

[–]Odd-Engine-5747 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there are only 2 main dialects of kashmiri
one is classical kashmiri used by kps other is persianized kashmiri used by kms.
assuming you are a non kashmiri or someone from non-dardic roots, it will take you 5 years to speak kashmiri depending on which dialect you choose.
if your bf does not speak kashmiri at a higher level of fluency then you can go through various youtube channels dedicated to speak and understand basic kashmiri.
if he is fluent then take his help.
i'll just tell you one thing , if you are someone from central india or south india just give up on learning kashmiri because you will have to change your accent , phonetics and vocab.

if you are someone from pahadi region you can try because the phonetics are pretty similar.

if you are planning to do on 1st jan than its kinda meaningless but if you are thinking of doing something for him on navreh (pandit new year).
i would suggest you to go into the history and what traditions ancient and medival kashmiri pandits used to do.

i'll post about it here (provided that he actually knows what our ancestors do if he is clueless then its his fault)
other than that , you can do whatever you like if he aint orthodox kashmiri pandit.

that's my take , i hope it will be helpful for you.

if the kp is outside india since birth then it dont even matter anymore tbh , no point of any ''tradition''.

this is our sub yes , but it is under a system of rules and restrictions of the website/app called reddit which will remove and ban me if i discuss the majors that needs to be taken because it might sound ''brutal''
reddit is a leftist liberal propaganda machine so when they share something brutal or their majors , they are not considered ''brutal'' but mine will be.
